The Short Version

We don’t collect personal information unless you specifically share it with us. Our calculators work entirely in your browser – we don’t store your calculations, loan amounts, or financial details anywhere.

When you contact us, we only keep what’s needed to help you. We don’t sell data to anyone, and we definitely don’t spam your phone with loan offers.

What Information We Collect

Calculator Usage

Nothing personal. We might see that someone used the M-Pesa calculator 50 times today, but we don’t know who or what amounts they calculated.

Your Fuliza loan calculations, salary figures, and loan amounts never leave your device. When you close the tab, everything disappears.

Website Analytics

Basic stuff like:

  • How many people visited
  • Which calculators are popular
  • What devices people use (helps us fix mobile issues)
  • General location (like “Nairobi” not your exact address)

Contact Information

Only if you reach out to us:

  • Email address when you send messages
  • WhatsApp number if you text us
  • Whatever details you choose to share in your message

No Account Required

You don’t need to sign up for anything. No passwords, no profiles, no “create account to continue” nonsense.

Use any calculator – PAYE tax, money market fund, HELB loan – without creating an account.

What We Don’t Collect

We don’t track:

  • Your actual calculations or financial details
  • Your phone’s contact list
  • Your location beyond city level
  • Your browsing history on other sites
  • Your personal financial information
  • Your M-Pesa transaction history
  • Your bank account details
  • Your salary or income data

How We Use Your Information

Analytics Data: Helps us understand which calculators need improvements. If everyone’s struggling with the loan repayment calculator on mobile, we need to know.

Contact Information: Only to respond to your questions or suggestions. We’re not building a marketing list.

Website Improvement: Figuring out which browsers crash, which pages load slowly, that sort of thing.

Information Sharing

We don’t sell, rent, or give away your information. Period.

The only exception would be if Kenyan law required it, but honestly, there’s not much to share anyway.

We’re not like those apps that sell your data to credit bureaus or marketing companies. Your financial planning stays private.

Cookies and Tracking

Essential Cookies: Basic stuff that makes the website work properly.

Analytics Cookies: Help us understand site usage. You can disable these in your browser if you want.

Data Storage and Security

Your Calculations: Stay in your browser. When you close the tab, they’re gone. We literally can’t see what you calculated because it never reaches our servers.

Contact Messages: Stored securely in Kenya. We delete old support conversations after solving your issue.

Analytics: Anonymized data that we keep to improve the site.

We use standard security measures, but let’s be honest – the best security is not collecting sensitive data in the first place.

Your Rights Under Kenyan Law

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have these rights:

Access: Ask what information we have about you (probably just your email if you contacted us).

Correction: Tell us if we got something wrong.

Deletion: We can delete your contact information anytime you ask.

Portability: You can get a copy of any personal data we hold.

Object: You can object to how we process your data.

Google Analytics: Helps us understand site usage. Google has their own privacy policy.

Calculator APIs: Some calculators fetch current rates from banks or CBK. These don’t include your personal data.

External Links: We link to banks, government sites, and financial institutions. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them.

Children’s Privacy

Our calculators are designed for adults making financial decisions. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If a parent thinks we have their child’s information, contact us and we’ll delete it immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We’ll update this page if our privacy practices change. Major changes get announced on our homepage.

We won’t make changes that give us access to information we previously said we wouldn’t collect.

Check back occasionally – we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top when we make changes.
